This database has been created to allow local planning authority enforcement officers to input and access details of prosecutions against companies who have illegally displayed advertisements alongside highways and/or flyposted.

The service, developed by Communities and Local Government, can help officers build a case for prosecution in their own authority areas.

The database can also assist courts when awarding costs and ensuring any fine imposed reflects the seriousness of the offence – for instance, whether a first-time or persistent offender is involved.

Access to this service is restricted to nominated officers and named deputies.
